The Board of Police Commissioners in Kansas City has narrowed the field of candidates to be the next chief of police to two people — Maj. Rick Smith of Kansas City, and Chief Keith Humphrey of Norman, Okla.

Wednesday, the chairman of the police board, Leland Shurin, will join us on Facebook Live to talk about the selection of the new chief. We’ll also discuss the violent crime problem in Kansas City, and steps the board is taking to address those and other concerns.
