Royals on the farm: Gore makes highlight catch; Soler hits walk-off grand slam

Another day, another Terrance Gore highlight.

After the 5-foot-7 Royals farmhand crushed his first professional home run in at-bat No. 1,642 of a seven-year minor-league career on Saturday, Gore robbed Cal Towey of the New Orleans Baby Cakes of a homer Sunday.

Gore went 3 for 5 with three runs scored for Kansas City’s Triple-A affiliate.

Omaha won 15-11 in 10 innings thanks to Jorge Soler’s two-out, walk-off grand slam one inning after his two-run homer tied the game at 11-11 in the ninth.

Soler is hitting .230 with five home runs and 11 RBIs in seven games since rejoining the Storm Chasers on June 5.
