Last Saturday night, if you couldn’t be at Arrowhead Stadium or Sporting Park, parked on the couch with the remote was an excellent alternative with the Chiefs, Royals and Kansas City in action.

So, who was the ratings winner?

As usual, the Chiefs dominated the night. But the Royals posted a strong number.

According to Nielsen, the Chiefs notched a household rating of 19.2 on KCTV (Ch. 5), the Royals 8.5 (on Fox Sports Kansas City) and Sporting KC a 1.2 on KMCI (Ch. 38).

The Royals rating on Saturday, when they defeated the Rangers 6-3, topped their season average of 6.2, and they moved the needle higher on Sunday, a 9.7 rating.
