Salvador Perez passes MRI on knee as Royals begin series on Friday
The Royals received a concrete reason for optimism about the right knee of catcher Salvador Perez when an MRI on Thursday revealed no structural damage to the joint.
Perez sat out Wednesday’s game after experiencing tightness in batting practice. He was removed from Monday’s game when the injury occurred while running the bases.
Perez could return to action on Friday night when the Royals begin a three-game series against the Rangers.
