Josh Willingham is the lineup for Tuesday’s Royals game against the Athletics. He will start at designated hitter and bat sixth.

Relief pitcher Scott Downs was placed on the disabled list to make room for Willingham on the active roster.

Here are the lineups as RHP Jeremy Guthrie (8-9, 4.35 ERA) faces LHP Jon Lester (12-7, 2.44 ERA):
