Light rain keeps KC soggy for a few days this week. When will it warm up?

After a cloudy and cool start to the week, the weather is expected to warm up with a few more chances of rain, according to the National Weather Service.

Rain is expected on Tuesday with off and on drizzle before 11 a.m. By midday, the chance of rain weakens, and it will be cloudy with a high near 64 degrees, the forecast shows.

Tuesday night will be calm and cloudy with a low near 54 degrees, according to the forecast.

Temperatures will start a warming trend by Wednesday. People can expect a partly sunny day with a high near 72 degrees, much closer to seasonal norms for the region.

Wednesday night, there’s a chance of showers mainly after 1 a.m. Any precipitation is expected to be light overnight and into Thursday morning.

Rain is again in the forecast Thursday, with the greatest chance forecast after 4 p.m. It’s expected to be a partly sunny day with a high near 72 degrees.

People can expect dry and mild weather to dominate the rest of the week and into next weekend, forecasts show. Temperatures could reach near 80 degrees by Saturday, according to the weather service.
