Unseasonable cold will make for a chilling Halloween across Kansas City’s metro
Some snow flurries Sunday in the Kansas City metro brought with them the start of a cold front that is expected to last late into the week.
There will certainly be a chill in the air this Halloween. Tuesday’s temperatures are not expected to surpass 39 degrees, with lows in the 20s, according to the National Weather Service in Kansas City. Strong winds that could drop the wind chill into the teens will make trick-or-treating even brisker.
The unseasonable cold will continue into Wednesday, when the Kansas City region may hit a record low as temperatures dip into the teens to kick off November.
“Then temperatures ramp back up towards normal by the end of the week,” the National Weather Service posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Sunday.
Thursday is expected to warm into the upper 50s, and Friday will likely see a return to seasonable temperatures, with a high in the low 60s, according to the weather service.
