Enjoy the spring-like weather while it lasts, Kansas City.

Tuesday, much the like the President’s Day holiday, will be pleasantly warm and sunny, with high temperatures in the low 60s, according to the National Weather Service.

Wednesday will be even warmer yet, with temperatures potentially hitting 70 degrees before plunging about 50 degrees within a few hours.

“Roller coaster-like temps this week with highs Tue & Wed well above normal and Thu & Fri below normal. But for Thu, temps will drop during the AM behind a cold front with winds shifting the W & NW and gusting to 50 mph,” the weather service tweeted.

Rain is expected Wednesday with the dramatic change in temperature going into Thursday, with forecast lows in the mid-20s and a high temperature barely reaching freezing.

Friday will be another cold one, with lows in the teens and a high in the mid-30s.

But Kansas Citians can again look for relief from the winter this weekend, as temperatures again level out in the 50s.
