Kansas City advised to enjoy Sunday weather as sub-zero temperatures predicted next week
The National Weather Service says Kansas Citians should enjoy warmer temperatures this weekend before a pre-holiday cold snap.
“Not sure about y’all, but we’re going to relish Sunday before the cold hits,” the weather service said in a tweet Friday.
Through the weekend, Kansas City is expected to see a high of 41 degrees on Sunday. Beginning Monday, however, temperatures will start to drop with the most severe cold weather expected to arrive as early as Thursday.
Wind chills may drop to as low as 25 degrees below zero on Thursday and Friday, the weather service says. That cold may linger through the holiday season as the region is predicted to be impacted by an arctic blast.
