‘No rain in sight:’ Warm, dry weather expected in Kansas City next week

Temperatures in the Kansas City area are expected to stay in the 70s over the weekend before rising into the 80s ahead of the official end of summer, Tuesday.

“We have plenty of days to get outside and enjoy the sunshine,” said FOX4 meteorologist Alex Countee in a weather update for The Star.

Saturday, Countee said, is expected to be dry and sunny as temperatures rise to 73 degrees.

Highs on Sunday, he said, will be in the upper 70s before temperatures move into the 80s on Monday and stay there for the rest of the work week.

For the next week there is “no rain in sight,” which may lead to drought concerns, Countee said.
