KC to see highs in the mid-to-upper 80s through the weekend, rain possible Wednesday

The humidity is going to stick around this week across Kansas City, according to FOX4 meteorologist Joe Lauria.

There is a chance for scattered storms before daybreak Tuesday, which will turn into “a typical summertime day with highs in the middle to upper 80s and a lot of humidity out there,” said Lauria, who provided a weather update to The Star.

A chance for storms arrives again mid-week, but they won’t be severe.

“We’ll have some periodic rain chances as well, one will come Wednesday morning, about a 40% chance we have rain in the area,” Lauria said.

Highs in the mid-to-upper 80s will continue through the weekend.

“Right now, not too many 90 degree days coming our way which is a good thing as we head through the middle part of August,” Lauria said.
