‘It’s about to feel like August again’: Heat, humidity return to KC this weekend
Heat and humidity are returning to Kansas City after days of unseasonably cool temperatures, according to FOX4 meteorologist Karli Ritter.
Scattered rain is possible off and on Thursday morning into Friday morning, said Ritter who provides weather updates to The Star. At 10 a.m. Thursday, the temperature will be about 73 degrees. By 4 p.m. it will be about 84.
“As we look around the region we are going to start seeing our numbers climbing, our humidity climbing,” Ritter said Thursday morning. “It’s about to feel like August again, especially after today.”
While it will begin to feel a little more humid out Thursday, by the weekend it will be “just downight gross outside with high heat and humidity combining together,” she said.
Friday’s high is expected to be in the upper 80s once the morning rain clears.
“After that, 90s are back,” Ritter said. “It looks like a windy and hot weekend, and the heat and the humidity will stick around into next week.”
