‘Here we go again.’ High temperatures, humidity are headed back to Kansas City

After a pleasant break, hot, muggy weather will start to return to Kansas City on Thursday.

“Our comfortable weather is slowly starting to leave us,” said FOX4 meteorologist Joe Lauria in a weather update for The Star.

After days of temperatures in the 70s, Lauria predicted that temperatures would rise to the mid-80s by the end of the day Thursday.

Throughout the weekend, he said, temperatures will continue to increase.

Rainstorms are possible Friday morning until early afternoon. After they clear out, though, humidity will likely set in.

On Saturday and Sunday, Lauria said, temperatures are expected to rise into the 90s with heat indexes between 100 and 105 degrees.

“Here we go again,” he said.
