KC Fourth of July forecast: storms possible early. Expect a hot, humid afternoon
After severe thunderstorms came through the Kansas City area Friday afternoon, more storms are possible for July Fourth.
Scattered storms and showers will be possible from before dawn until about noon, said FOX4 meteorologist Joe Lauria in a weather update for The Star.
By the evening, however, it is expected to clear out.
“For the fireworks displays that are still going, we should be okay,” Lauria said.
The air will be muggy, Lauria said, with temperatures in the 80s.
“Warm, humid, you know the routine,” he said.
On Sunday and into the work week temperatures are expected to stay in the 90s.
