‘Get ready for a muggy weekend’: Hot, humid weather expected in Kansas City

This Memorial Day weekend will kick off in Kansas City with hot and humid weather, says FOX4 meteorologist Joe Lauria.

Saturday’s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with temperatures in the mid 80s.

“Temperatures tomorrow (Saturday) are going to feel like the middle part of July,” Lauria said. “It’s about to get hot and very humid, so get ready for a muggy weekend.”

Sunday will have a similar forecast with temperatures again in the mid 80s.

Lauria added that the Kansas City area could see some scattered evening thunderstorms on Sunday but says there is a higher chance for rain on Monday.

Monday’s forecast calls for temperatures in the mid to upper 70s. There is an 80% chance for thunderstorms.
