Rain will continue overnight in Kansas City. Cooler, blustery weather expected Friday

The rain will continue in the Kansas City area Thursday night into early Friday, which is expected to be a blustery, cool day, according to FOX4 meteorologist Joe Lauria.

Friday’s forecast calls for sunny skies, north winds around 20 to 30 mph and temperatures around or below 60.

“That sets the stage for a frosty Saturday morning as temperatures drop down to anywhere between 32 and 36 degrees around Kansas City,” Lauria said. By Saturday afternoon, temperatures are expected to reach a high of 63.

Sunday — Mother’s Day — will be mostly sunny with temperatures around 60.

Frost is possible again Monday morning, and then there will be a few chances for rain Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, according to the forecast.

“We might be setting up to have a rather wet weather pattern for the back half for the month of May,” Lauria said.
