After a rainy Friday, weekend in Kansas City will be mostly dry and sunny

After a rainy Friday, weather conditions in the Kansas City area are expected to be sunny and dry for the most part this weekend, according to FOX4 meteorologist Joe Lauria.

The clouds will move out Saturday morning, and the afternoon forecast calls for sunny skies and temperatures in the mid to upper 60s.

A few showers may develop on Saturday north and west of Kansas City, the meteorologist said, which could bring rain to the area for a brief period of time.

“Odds are most of the activity should weaken as it approaches I-35 tomorrow evening, but I can’t rule out maybe —maybe —an isolated shower or a little thundershower that lasts for about 10, 15, 20 minutes or so sometime early tomorrow evening,” Lauria said in a weather update to The Star. “It’ll blow out of here. Weekend overall looks good.”

Sunday is expected to be sunny with a high of 73.

The next chances for rain are Monday and Tuesday.
