Wednesday will start out dry but rain is expected later in the Kansas City area

The day will start out dry and temperatures in the Kansas City area may warm up to the mid 60s by lunchtime Wednesday but rain and cooler air are expected to move in later in the day, according to FOX4 meteorologist Joe Lauria.

“If you’re trying to make some outdoor plans, I think the first part of the day looks dry, and then the rain will start to move in, probably light rain, sometime in the afternoon tomorrow, and maybe getting a little bit more steady, especially after about 2 or 3 in the afternoon,” Lauria said in a weather update to The Star.

Areas south of Kansas City could see some moderate rain and possibly thunderstorms.

Temperatures are expected to drop to the 50s by the end of the day.

Going into the evening hours, the rain is likely to continue in the Kansas City area.

There is another chance for rain on Friday.
