Tuesday to be sunny with a high of 72 in KC, followed by a chance for rain Wednesday

Tuesday will be a nice day with temperatures reaching 70 to 75 degrees without a lot of wind, said FOX4 meteorologist Joe Lauria.

“Wednesday though, things could change,” said Lauria, who provided a weather update for The Star.

Rain from the south will start to creep up into the metro area. It could turn into a raw, cold day if rain continues traveling north.

“Everything will move out of here by Wednesday evening and the Thursday forecast is looking pretty good,” he said.

Thursday’s high is 77.

“Then we’ll be in pretty good shape for the weekend, maybe a little more rain coming our way on Friday,” Lauria said.

Saturday and Sunday’s highs will be in the 60s.
