Warm weather will continue Wednesday in Kansas City before cold front moves in
Warm weather conditions will continue for at least one more day before temperatures drop off in the Kansas City area, according to FOX4 meteorologist Joe Lauria.
Wednesday’s forecast calls for partly sunny skies and a high of 82 in the afternoon. There is a slight chance for showers in the region, but rain is not expected in Kansas City, Lauria said in a weather update to The Star.
A cold front will be coming in Wednesday evening. Temperatures Thursday and Friday will be in the mid 50s. Later this week, between Thursday night and Friday morning, temperatures will be close to 30.
“It’ll be a quick drop off with a lot of wind coming our way later on tomorrow into tomorrow evening,” Lauria said. “Then we’ll focus our attention on a storm system off the western portion of the country. This is going to be our issue for the weekend.”
There may be some scattered showers on Saturday in the Kansas City area. Then on Sunday, there may be another chance for rain and possibly snowflakes. Much colder weather is expected early next week.
