Cold, rainy weather expected Friday in the Kansas City area
A strong cold front will move into the Kansas City area overnight, which will cause temperatures to plummet, said FOX4 meteorologist Joe Lauria.
By daybreak Friday, it may be close to freezing. Wind chill factors will be in the 20s. Temperatures will remain in the 30s for the rest of the day.
Rain is likely late Thursday night and during the day Friday. Thunderstorms are possible.
“And it’s not out of the question as we see rain developing off and on for tomorrow that there could be a few ice pellets mixing in with the rain, especially on the Kansas side before lunchtime tomorrow,” Lauria added.
Temperatures will be in the 50s and 60s during the weekend.
Saturday’s forecast calls for party sunny skies with a high of 55.
Sunday’s forecast calls for sunny skies with a high of 67.
