Rain Tuesday morning in Kansas City to clear out by afternoon

The Kansas City area will get some rain Tuesday morning, but it should clear out by the afternoon, according to FOX4 meteorologist Joe Lauria.

Sprinkles and light showers are possible before sunrise.

“The better chance of rain will be moving in around daybreak especially from Kansas City, south,” said Lauria, who provided a weather update to The Star. “Once you get a little further north, there’s not going to be much. But if you live south of Kansas City, you may get showers and thunderstorms.”

Precipitation will clear out through the morning, leaving behind mostly cloudy skies and a high of 53.

The high Wednesday is 70. That drops to 63 on Thursday.

Another chance for rain rolls in starting Friday and into Saturday.

“Then the weekend looking kind of so-so with Sunday being the better of the two weekend days,” Lauria said.
