Lots of sunshine Saturday, then rain likely Sunday in Kansas City area, forecast says

The weekend is expected to start out dry with lots of sunshine in the Kansas City area, but a storm system will likely bring rain early Sunday, according to FOX4 meteorologist Joe Lauria.

Saturday’s forecast calls for sunny skies with temperatures between 45 and 50 degrees.

A storm system is expected to move through the Midwest, bringing rain to the Kansas City area in the early-morning hours Sunday, Lauria said in a weather update to The Star.

Then, off-and-on rain is likely later in the day. Temperatures will be in the 40s.

Warmer weather is in the forecast for early next week.
