After warm first day of spring, KC will see a big drop in temperatures overnight
A cold front is expected to move into the Kansas City area overnight, causing temperatures to drop significantly, says FOX4 meteorologist Joe Lauria.
Temperatures in the area reached a high of 75 on Thursday, which was the first day of spring. Overnight, Lauria added, there is a slight chance for isolated showers or thunderstorms, but the bottom line is the progress of the cold front, he says.
By the time Kansas Citians wake up Friday morning, it is supposed to be around 30 degrees with wind chill factors near 20.
Temperatures during the afternoon Friday are expected to be in the low 40s.
Saturday’s forecast calls for sunny skies and a high of 47.
The next chance for rain is Sunday, according to the forecast.
Warmer temperatures in the 60s and 70s are expected to return to the area early next week.
