Slight chance for rain overnight, but overall sunny, warm in KC Wednesday, forecast says
There is a slight chance for rain overnight, but overall, Wednesday is expected to be partly sunny and warm in the Kansas City area, according to FOX4 meteorologist Joe Lauria.
There appears to be “a little disturbance” about 50 to 60 miles south of the metro, Lauria added, that may create some rain in the early-morning hours Wednesday.
“I can’t rule out maybe a sprinkle or something around the area, but I think the better chances will reside a few counties south of Kansas City,” the meteorologist said.
In the afternoon hours Wednesday, temperatures will warm up to the mid 60s, according to the forecast.
There is another chance for rain Thursday morning. The high temperature is expected to be 66.
Temperatures will start to go down from there.
“We’ll start to cool down on Friday and await this next storm that’s going to move into the Plains Friday night into Saturday,” Lauria said. “Looks like rain initially. There’s still a potential of a change over or a mixture of snow to develop sometime Saturday morning. I don’t think it’ll accumulate here in Kansas City, but for areas up toward the Iowa border, we’ll need to watch for maybe some grassy accumulations up there.”
