Rain showers likely in Kansas City for Snake Saturday, and snow possible to the north
Temperatures will continue to climb Tuesday, reaching a high in the middle 50s by the evening commute, according to FOX4 meteorologist Alex Countee.
“We are actually going to stay dry throughout your Tuesday,” said Countee, who provides weather updates to The Star. “So any voting you want to do later on will be just fine.”
There’s a chance for rain showers early Wednesday, but the majority of the rain is expected to fall before sunrise, he said. There’s also a chance for scattered rain Thursday.
“But we are right back into the the 60s,” on Wednesday and Thursday, he said. Temperatures, however, will be cooler on Friday with the highs reaching only the mid-50s.

The Star produced this weather update in partnership with the local FOX4 television station. The station’s meteorologists create forecast videos multiple times a day for the newspaper to include in its weather reports.
Rain on the parade
“We are watching Snake Saturday as it looks like we’ll have a good chance of some more widespread rain and cooler temperatures with highs only getting to about 40 degrees,” Countee said.
The Snake Saturday Parade in North Kansas City starts at 11 a.m..
There’s a chance that colder air could be in place north of the Kansas City metro, which could cause rain to turn into snow, he said.
The rest of the weekend as well as the start of the next work week will be dry with highs in the upper 40s and mid-50s, he said.
