‘Nice run of early spring weather’ expected in KC area from this weekend to the next

Temperatures in the Kansas City area will be a bit cooler for a brief time before warming up again to the 60s during the weekend and the next few days, according to FOX4 meteorologist Joe Lauria.

Friday’s forecast calls for sunny skies and a high of 54 degrees —”and that’s the ‘cool day’ over the next seven,” Lauria said in a weather update to The Star.

Saturday and Sunday are expected to see highs of 66 and 68, respectively.

Rain will likely move into the area from the southwest sometime after sunset on Sunday. The rain is expected to continue overnight into Monday morning.

“Every single day, I’m expecting above-average temperatures all the way through next weekend,” Lauria said. “It’s a nice run of early spring weather.”
