Warmer weather will continue this week in KC. Next chance for rain may be Sunday night
The warmer weather will continue throughout the week in the Kansas City area with no precipitation expected for the next few days, said FOX4 meteorologist Joe Lauria.
“Tomorrow (Wednesday) is going to be another great day. Light winds, lots of sunshine, temperatures should be close to about 60 degrees,” Lauria said in a weather update to The Star.
Friday is expected to be cooler with a high of 54, Lauria said, but temperatures will be well above average again over the weekend.
As a reminder, Lauria added, daylight saving time will begin 2 a.m. Sunday.
The next chance for rain may occur Sunday night into Monday morning, according to the forecast.
“We’re actually going to need the rain. Things are starting to dry out in the area,” Lauria said. “So hopefully Monday we’ll get a good soaking rain coming on through, but even the system behind it isn’t really generating much in the way of cold weather, so temperatures are going to stay pretty mild for a while.”
