‘A nice warm up coming our way’ this weekend in Kansas City, meteorologist says
Warmer weather will arrive in the Kansas City area this weekend with temperatures that are supposed to reach the 60s on Saturday and Sunday, according to FOX4 meteorologist Joe Lauria.
“Our weather for the weekend is going to work out just wonderfully, I think,” Lauria said in an update to The Star. “A nice warm up coming our way. You’ll notice it tomorrow (Saturday). A cold start, but a very quick warm up.”
Temperatures on Saturday are expected to reach the 50s by lunchtime and then increase to 64 degrees in the afternoon. It may be gusty in the afternoon, with winds around 20 to 30 mph, according to the forecast.
Sunday is expected to start out in the 50s with temperatures reaching a high of 66 degrees. Lauria said the area could see some low clouds.
A cold front will move into the area late Sunday night into early Monday morning. Temperatures will drop back down to the mid or upper 40s. There is a chance for rain Monday in the Kansas City area.
