Slight chance for rain Friday in KC. Temperatures expected to reach 60s this weekend
Friday’s forecast calls for a slight chance for rain and temperatures near the 50s, but a warmer weekend is ahead in the Kansas City area, said FOX4 meteorologist Joe Lauria.
On Friday, temperatures are expected to reach a high of 51 with a mixture of clouds and sunshine.
“Overall, not a bad day, there could be a few more sprinkles every so often,” Lauria said in a weather update to The Star. The area could see rain later Friday morning or in the afternoon.
“It’ll be a much better weekend, though, as temperatures really warm up. That’s when you want to be outside.”
Temperatures Saturday and Sunday in the Kansas City area are supposed to be in the mid 60s with party sunny skies. With the change in weather coming Saturday, Lauria also warned of air pressure dropping.
Another change in the weather comes Monday as a cold front is expected to move through. There is also another chance for rain Monday.
