Snow flurries possible overnight in KC area, cooler temps expected Wednesday morning

The Kansas City area could see some snow flurries overnight, but it’s not expected to cause any issues on the roads, said FOX4 meteorologist Joe Lauria.

“We’ve got a few sprinkles. I can’t rule out maybe a couple flurries or a quick-passing snow shower overnight tonight, but I’m not expecting really any issues ... Temperatures will still be around, if not above, freezing for most of the night,” Lauria said in a weather update to The Star.

Wind chill factors may be in the teens by daybreak as temperatures drop to 29.

Wednesday’s forecast calls for high temperatures in the upper 30s to the low 40s.

From there, temperatures are expected to warm up, Lauria continued.

“As we head toward the weekend, we’re really going to warm up, the southwest winds kick in. I’m expecting temperatures over the weekend to be up into the 60s,” Lauria said. “We’ve got, I think, a pretty good weekend coming our way.”
