Sunny and warm Saturday in Kansas City. Then rain will move in Sunday, forecast says
The weekend will kick off with sunny skies and warm temperatures in the Kansas City area. Then, rain is expected to move into the area later on Sunday, according to FOX4 meteorologist Joe Lauria.
Saturday’s forecast calls for temperatures in the mid 50s. It may even be close to 60 degrees, Lauria said in a weather update to The Star. Winds will be blowing out of the southwest at 20 to 30 mph.
Sunday will be cloudy with a high of 53. Rain is supposed to move into the area sometime Sunday afternoon into Sunday evening.
Lauria said once it starts to rain, it’s expected to stick around through Monday, when the area could possibly see a mix of rain and snow develop.
“I don’t think we’ll have any accumulation. The whole thing may finish as a couple of rain drops, but again, something to watch, and there’s another system coming our way Tuesday into Wednesday that bears watching as well,” Lauria said.
