Sunny skies, warmer temperatures ahead at the start of the weekend in Kansas City

Friday’s temperatures in the Kansas City area are supposed to be in the 40s, and it’ll be even warmer by the weekend, says FOX4 meteorologist Joe Lauria.

According to the forecast, Friday will start out cold with temperatures in the teens again by the early-morning hours. The high temperature is expected to be 44 in the afternoon in Kansas City. Skies will be sunny.

“Temperatures are going to warm up. It might feel a little cool in the afternoon just because of the breeze blowing, but I do expect temperatures to be up into the 40s for tomorrow (Friday) afternoon,” Lauria said.

Saturday will be warmer with temperatures in the mid 50s.

The next chance for precipitation will be Sunday afternoon, when the area will likely see rain. Lauria said the Kansas City area could see at least half of an inch of rain.

There is also a chance for rain on Monday.
