Chance for light snow overnight in KC area. Thursday morning temps may be as low as 15
There’s a chance for some light snow as temperatures drop below freezing late Wednesday night in the Kansas City area, FOX4 meteorologist Joe Lauria said in a weather update to The Star.
Lauria said he’s not expecting major issues from the snowfall in Kansas City, though areas west and south of the metro may experience slick conditions and see higher amounts of snow, ranging from a half an inch to an inch. The snow is expected to fall late Wednesday night.
“The key for the metro, in addition to maybe a little bit of light snow or flurries, will be the colder weather,” Lauria said.
Temperatures early Thursday morning are expected to be close to 15 degrees with wind chill factors close to zero, according to the forecast.
Then in the afternoon, temperatures are expected to be in the low 30s.
The next chance for precipitation is Sunday, when it will likely rain in Kansas City.
