Brief snow showers possible early Friday in the Kansas City area, forecast says
A fast-moving system may swing by the Kansas City area and drop a few snowflakes early Friday morning, according to FOX4 meteorologist Joe Lauria.
Little to no snow accumulation is expected in Kansas City. Some areas could see a tenth of an inch of snow, which “could create a slick spot or two” if it sticks to the roads, Lauria said in a weather update to The Star.
Friday’s afternoon forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies and temperatures in the upper 30s.
Saturday will be sunny with a high temperature of 44.
The next chance for precipitation is Sunday. Lauria said rain may fall in the area during the first part of the day. Temperatures are expected to reach the upper 40s in the afternoon.
