Sunshine, increased temperatures in the forecast for the Kansas City area this week

After dealing with freezing temperatures and some light snow, sunny skies and warmer temperatures are in the forecast for the next few days in the Kansas City area, according to FOX4 meteorologist Joe Lauria.

Thursday’s forecast calls for temperatures in the mid to upper 30s by the afternoon hours.

The next chance for snow flurries could be Friday, Lauria said in a weather update to The Star.

Another system on Sunday may bring some rain to the area.

“Overall, though, not too bad. Temperatures in the 30s and 40s for highs through the middle of next week,” Lauria said.
