Chilly weather conditions, possibly a few snowflakes, expected Sunday in Kansas City
A rainstorm has moved through the Kansas City area and cooler air will soon follow, according to FOX4 meteorologist Garry Frank.
Northwest of the region, including parts of Nebraska, a storm system has dumped several inches of snow, Frank said. That same system is going to bring in much cooler air to the Kansas City area by Sunday and Monday.
The area may also see some light snow late in the day or overnight Sunday. No accumulation is expected.
Temperatures are expected to reach the mid 40s and then drop to low 30s by Sunday night.
Monday’s forecast calls for mostly cloudy skies with temperatures in the mid 30s.
Increased temperatures are expected at the start of the new year.
“We enjoyed a little bit of warmer air for a brief period and we’re going to continue to see a few snowflakes but ring in 2020 with temperatures in the 50s and — once again — about 15 degrees above normal,” Frank said.
