What’s that rumble? It could be a rare winter thunderstorm
If you hear a rumble later in the day, it’s not your imagination.
Storms are expected to roll through the Kansas City area throughout the day, with a good chance of heavy rain and thunderstorms later in the day, according to FOX4 meteorologist Alex Countee. The temperature will hover around 60 degrees.
“Some of those storms, only a few, could be on the stronger side, especially down toward the south,” Countee said.
A wind threat can’t be ruled out, he said.
The good news for Chiefs fans is the weather system is expected to move away by game time Sunday, though those heading to the stadium should bundle up, as it’s expected to be near freezing.
After a chilly Monday, temperatures will be warmer than usual through the week.
