Traveling for the holidays? Weather conditions in KC looking ‘pretty good’ next week
After a few days of snow, fog and freezing temperatures, the Kansas City area is supposed to see improved conditions and increased temperatures within the next week, according to FOX4 meteorologist Garry Frank.
“I think there are some areas of fog by mid-week, but as we head toward the end of the week, not much going on. In fact, we’re going to continue to see our temperatures rise all the way throughout the rest of the year,” Frank said.
Cooler air is moving out currently and warmer air is expected to settle in during the week of Christmas, the meteorologist added.
“If you’re looking for any sort of snow, I don’t think we’re going to get it until maybe by the new year, so enjoy some warmer conditions,” Frank said. “Travel right now for the new year, or leading up to the new year, looks pretty good.”
For the rest of this week, temperatures Wednesday afternoon are expected to linger above freezing again. But by Thursday and Friday, temperatures will be in the low to mid 40s, according to the forecast.
