Cold air returning to Kansas City this weekend, snow ‘looking more and more likely’
As we get closer to the weekend, cold air is expected to return and the chance of snow is “looking more and more likely” in Kansas City, according to FOX4 meteorologist Karli Ritter in a weather update to The Star.
The cold air will move through the area starting on Saturday with a chance of a mix of snow and rain early in the morning.
Snow is expected to arrive late Sunday afternoon into Sunday evening and “really ramp up” Sunday overnight into Monday morning, Ritter said..
“Travel impacts are very possible, maybe a little messy come Monday,” Ritter said, “and more importantly, regardless of if we get a lot of snow or a little bit of snow — and I am expecting some accumulations — it is going to trend much colder heading into the second half of the weekend and early next week with morning lows returning to the teens by Tuesday.”
