St. Louis driver hits, kills motorcyclist, checks damage, drives away

ST. LOUIS – Police in St. Louis are searching for a car’s driver they say hit and killed a motorcyclist, then drove away after stopping to check his car’s damage.

KMOV-TV reports that 24-year-old Alex Winston died at a hospital shortly after the accident about noon Sunday, near Fairgrounds Park.

Police say the suspect got out of his car, checked the damage on it and drove away from the scene, leaving the injured motorcyclist.
