Assistant coach at Missouri university accused of rape

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – An assistant tennis coach at Drury University in southwestern Missouri is suspended after being accused of sexually attacking a woman after a campus party earlier this month.

The Springfield News-Leader reports that Greene County prosecutors charged Marko Boskovic, 25, on Friday with second-degree rape.

Online court records Monday did not show whether Boskovic has an attorney.

The Springfield university’s website says Boskovic has been an assistant coach since January.

Drury spokesman Mike Brothers says Boskovic is a graduate student at Drury and has been suspended with pay pending the outcome of a school investigation.

Brothers also confirmed to the newspaper that the alleged victim is a Drury student.

A court document says Boskovic is a Serbian national who had talked about leaving the country before his arrest.
