Two men charged with drug-deal killing of Sedalia teenager
SEDALIA, Mo. – Two men have been charged in the shooting death of a Sedalia teenager during a drug deal.
The Sedalia Democrat reports that 35-year-old Brian J. Young was charged Wednesday and 21-year-old Kenneth S. McGee on Tuesday with second-degree murder in the July death of 16-year-old Andrew Meyers. Both men are jailed in Pettis County.
Young is accused of shootings Meyers during what Sedalia police Cmdr. Adam Hendricks has called a “drug deal gone bad.”
Young told detectives he fired his pistol after he was asked for his money and a weapon was pointed at him.
Pettis County Prosecutor Phillip Sawyer says McGee is suspected of facilitating the attempted robbery.
