Missouri hockey coach accused of trying to exploit child

CLAYTON, Mo. – A St. Louis-area hockey coach is jailed on $250,000 bond after being accused of trying to sexually exploit a minor.

St. Louis County prosecutors on Monday also charged Ian Mackie, 39, of Ballwin with one count of attempted possession of child pornography.

Authorities allege in court filings that Mackie requested from someone he believed to be a child younger than 14 years old pictures of that child’s genitals, then complained when the images he received weren’t viewable.
