Man breaks into Kansas City home, lifts blanket off sleeping woman
Kansas City police are looking for a masked man who apparently broke into a woman’s home early Monday through an unlocked window and pulled a blanket off of her.
The incident occurred about 5:30 a.m. in the 8500 block of Blue Ridge Boulevard. The 33-year-old woman told police she was asleep on her living room couch when she felt someone lift the blanket off of her. She opened her eyes, saw a man standing over her and screamed. The intruder, who was wearing a yellow mask, fled.
Police believe the man got into the woman’s home through a bedroom window. Nothing was stolen. The woman was not touched or hurt, police said.
A detailed description of the intruder was not available.
