Section of I-70 in central Missouri closed after crash

FULTON, Mo. – Authorities have closed a section of Interstate 70 in central Missouri after a multi-vehicle crash.

The Missouri Department of Transportation says the eastbound lanes of I-70 in Callaway County were closed Tuesday while crews worked to clean up the area after several vehicles collided. One westbound lane remained open.

MoDOT says the cleanup could take several hours.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or how the accident occurred.
