A woman wanted in connection with a death in Arkansas was rescued after getting lost in the woods in Missouri, officials said.

On April 4, as part of an investigation into a drug overdose out of Arkansas, authorities searched a home south of Cassville, according to an April 8 news release from the Barry County Sheriff’s Office.

They were looking for Jamie Walker, who was not found at the home, officials said. However, they did find a small amount of a suspected illegal substance, drug paraphernalia and a gun, according to the release.

The next day, the sheriff’s office responded to a 911 call that two people were lost in the woods.

One of the lost people was identified as Walker, officials said.

The Cassville Fire Protection District was able to locate Walker and the other individual when their cellphones pinged near a town, according to a Facebook post by the fire department.

Drones were used to confirm their locations, and utility task vehicles were brought in to help rescue them, officials said.

Several agencies responded and worked to find and rescue the two.

Walker was arrested on a charge of aggravated death by delivery, according to the release.

Officials have not released any information on the victim.

Cassville is near the Arkansas border.
