Powerball player wins $50,000 in Missouri. Where was the lucky ticket sold?
A Powerball ticket sold in Missouri won $50,000 but just missed the $20 million jackpot, lottery officials say.
The ticket matched four winning numbers and the Powerball in the drawing Monday, March 31, the Missouri Lottery said.
The lucky ticket was sold at a Price Chopper store in Lee’s Summit, about a 20-mile drive southeast from Kansas City, lottery officials said in a statement to McClatchy News.
Nobody won the grand prize, which rises to an estimated $30 million, with a cash value of about $13.9 million, for the next drawing Wednesday, April 2, the national Powerball site said.
The winning numbers were 12, 41, 44, 52 and 64, with a Powerball of 25, the lottery said. The Power Play multiplier was 2x.
More than 250,000 other Powerball tickets sold in the United States also won prizes ranging from $4 to $100,000, the lottery said.
The Powerball jackpot was last won March 29, when a California player hit the $527 million grand prize, lottery officials said.
