5 of Missouri’s 20 most expensive ZIP codes are in Kansas City, Forbes says
A new report reveals Missouri’s most expensive ZIP codes, including some located in the Kansas City region.
Business magazine Forbes analyzed data from 1,084 ZIP codes in Missouri from housing and real estate website Zillow’s Home Value Index and the Census Bureau’s 2023 American Community Survey. The analysis looked at the latest monthly home value data Zillow has on its website, from February 2025, and the average of 12 months of median home values from March 2024 to February 2025.
Five of the 20 most expensive ZIP codes Forbes found in Missouri are in Kansas City, while one is in Lee’s Summit. Here’s where in the area they’re found:
ZIP code 64167 ranked No. 10 with a median home value of $586,690. The postal code is in Clay County.
ZIP code 64113 ranked No. 11 with a median home value of $541,153. The postal code includes the Brookside and Armour Hills neighborhoods.
ZIP code 64149 ranked No. 14 with a median home value of $474,788. The postal code is by Longview Lake in southeast KC.
ZIP code 64139 ranked No. 19 with a median home value of $439,862. The postal code is in south Kansas City by the Unity Village neighborhood.
ZIP code 64156 ranked No. 20 with a median home value of $435,765. The postal code includes Staley High School in the Northland.
Lee’s Summit ZIP code 64082 ranked No. 18 on the list with a median home value of $443,623. The postal code is south of Kansas City and includes Lee’s Summit West High School.
