Who’s actually a part of Missouri’s middle class? A new study found a dividing line between states in the United States, and some may be surprised to see they’re considered upper-middle class.
Finance website GoBankingRates calculated how much a single person’s salary needs to be in order to be considered middle class in Missouri. The finance website used information on the median household income, total population and households by using data from the U.S. Census American Community Survey, whose most recent data is from 2023.
Using the Pew Research Center’s definition of middle class, which is “two-thirds to double the median income,” here’s what you need to make to be middle class in Missouri.
